Ezzy Asymmetric

(1 customer review)

£39.90

The Ezzy Asymmetric fin! More power, more drive, more speed, less drag.

Please note the sizing and angles are now,

MT – 8/10/12/13/14cm – 1º/2º/3º

US – 8/10/12/13/14cm – 1º/2º/3º

SB – 8/12/13/14cm – 1º/2º/3º

SB – 10/11cm – 1.5º/2º/2.5º/3º (these have the Starbox head)

The Ezzy front fin has a similer template to the Stubby but with a wider chord. A fully asymmetric foil with a radiused front and slightly positive inner foil to aid flow at high speeds. Choose a smaller fin size for less drag, same power. Great for huge gouging hooky cut backs!

Choose the degree depending on your boards box angles. Use the toe in calculator to find your boards box angle:

Then select the correct degree Ezzy with help from the tuning guide

    I simply love them! 🙂
I have a Starboard Quad (77l, 2011) with straight boxes and it feels like the stock front fins are constantly pulling to the side, almost as if there is a toe-out. Lots of grip in front-side turns but it is very stiff in constant radius, and in a straight line the front fins are cavitating well before the other ones.
With the Ezzy assymetric this board has now transformed completely. I’m using 10cm (3°) in the front and 13cm (2°) in the back, and now on the wave I don’t even feel the fins. Instead one is riding the board, and the turning radius is easily varied, in a true surf style feeling. I’m totally stoked and addicted to the feeling! 🙂
