It’s almost that time of year again when it’s all about POZO! So we thought we’d look back at the fin set ups the pro sailors were using at the PWA World Cup last year. It might just help you choose for your next trip and give you some pointers on placement (position in the boxes and relative to the straps), but bare in mind that not all the boards will be production models (unlike the fins which are all identical to those in the K4 Fins shop!).
Leon Jamaer: 15 Leon ‘super stiff’ with 10 SharkII fronts.
Graham Ezzy: 18 Scorcher with 10 SharkII fronts.
Martin ten Hoeve: Scorcher rears and SharkII fronts (around 16/10).
Omar Sánchez: 18 Flex and 10 Ezzy fronts.
Alex Mussolini: 16 Scorcher with 10 ShrakII fronts.
Pablo Ramírez Bolaños: Flex rears with Ezzy fronts.
Moritz Mauch: Saved the best until last, some wild set ups from Moritz!
Quad: 14 Ezzy 1º rears with 6 Shark fronts.
Quint: 16(?) Scorcher rear, 10 Stubby and 8 Ezzy fronts.
And yes, Moritz did sail heats with both those set ups. 🙂
We’ll hopefully be bringing you a more in depth look at pro sailor fin set ups soon!
